Fast food restaurant design

Pendant feature

We like this one - simple yet elegant. Part of a branch of the Fairwood Buddies CafĂ© in the Citygate mall in Tong Chong, designer Danny Chan has created a minimal space based on the hexagonal form. Really like the flooring - easy to go un-noticed. Post found at www.studiopublic.co.uk

Eco effect rubber flooring tiles

Very under designed- good!
Subtle print

We like these eco effect textured rubber floor tiles from Johnsonite. Designed to be used individually or together, the range has 6 different designs with various colours. these would look great in a cafe or restaurant space. I may have to get them in somewhere!!
Nice print..not sure on the colour!

Business hotel with a difference

Nice to see something a little bit different!

When the words business hotel are uttered, you wouldn't generally think of the following!! Yep, they have come at this one from a different angle alright!! And who is the designer, none other than Marcel Wanders!!! He says.. ‘Corporate and event hotels should be exciting, stimulating and inspiring,’continuing to add that most other hotels in this sector are  ‘very serious and practical and usually very boring too’. Over to you....I can't quite make my mind up on this one..
Exterior
Classic Wanders!! Don't know how I'd feel about a pig staring at me!!

The Folly Restaurant Design

Branding

Flowers everywhere!

The Folly restaurant, London, is an ecclectic mish mash of different furniture and finishes but it works. Why does it work? Well, it's unique enough without having to be pretentious, as so many London eating establishments have become. It's not got that contrived ecclectic design feel that has been around for a decade now, but instead comes at it from a different angle. The food and service is equally as relaxed and down to earth. We like this one. let there be more!

Boeing 727 Hotel in the rainforest!!

I have got to stay here!

This has to be the oddest hotel suite we have ever seen!! Situated in Costa Rica's Manuel Antonio National Park, this two bedroomed suite sits astride the rainforest and overlooks the beach and ocean. Apparently, the plane, a 1965 Boeing 727, used to transport passengers on South African Air... a long way from home then!

Strange, like a plane has just crashed through your window!

Transformed..

New Italian floor tiles..

There's always been something about Italian design that seems to make it stand out or unique. Yes, textured/relief floor tiles have been around for years but Mutina from Italy seem to have hit the nail on the head with this one. They also come in various shapes: hexagonal, rectangular or square. They are a young company and seem to be ticking the right boxes - keep up the good work guys!

Hilton Pattaya Hotel

Great space but nice logo as well!

Couldn't work this photo out for a while! Main public space.

WC area.

Sculptural bar area.

This truly is a well designed space. The interior designers must have really enjoyed this one, however, I pity the people who had to fabricated and install the fabric ceiling feature!! The public areas of the Hilton Pattaya, overlooking the Pattaya beach, adopt a natural, simple and organic feel, with bespoke sculptural elements including the bar and seating areas. At night, subtle recessed lighting illuminates the fabric ceiling and creates a tranquil mood from front to back. We really like this space. Nice branding design as well!
